Stag Do Ideas: Get Ribbing


If the stag is a thrill chaser and has a taste for speed there is a perfect activity, should you be staying on a stag weekend in Bournemouth or Southampton:

Get onboard a RIB and thrash across the Solent to the Isle of Wight for lunch.

The instructors have a saying “the rougher the better” as these RIBS can cope with mountainous waves in complete safety, cutting through the waves like a hot knife in Nutella.

This stag activity is fantastic fun and if you are looking for something unique and a little different to the Norm you cannot go wrong.

All specialised clothing is included including your boyancy aids, all you need to bring with you is pumps, a waterproof top if you have one and plenty of suncream. Full wet weather gear is provided should the rain clouds make a visit however, I am sure you won't care after your first donut!

What is a RIB I hear you say?

RIB's stands for Rigid Inflatable Boat, not Rubber Inflatable Boats as some people might think, I know I did!

Fitted with a powerful 225 – 250 BHP engine and an extra long fuel tank these babies can hit some sort of speed and with the extra fuel onboard they can make it to the Isle of Wight and back with relative ease.

Why the Isle of Wight?

The Isle of Wight is a great stop off with loads of pubs, restaurants and cafés ideal for a spot of lunch before getting back on board and flying back to the mainland. 

Don't forget Prince William was seen on a stag weekend on the Isle of Wight so it comes with Royal approval.

Alternatively you can choose another port anywhere in the Solent, you will be spoilt for choice as there are loads of them, including Lymington and Beaulieu River.

So if you are looking for unique stag do ideas, then RIBs should definitly be on your list, near the top with Vegas and handcuffing the groom to a midget.

So here at the DesignaVenture Towers we have been listening to our stag parties and recently we have been asked for the rules to the stag do game Pub Golf .
