Competitive Stag Do Ideas – Shooting


Whether you’re a group of paintballers strategically fighting another stag party or smashing clays to smithereens the shooting stag activities are a fantastic amount of fun.

Paintball is and always will be, one of the best activities to do whilst on a stag do.

You and your trusty mates go to war against a group of reprobates (possibly bankers), with at least 4 games zones per session, all with different directives, it’s about strategy and balls of steel. By the way the winner isn’t the one who shoots the most bullets but sometimes the two do marry.

Then you have the target shooting competition whether it’s smashing Clay Pigeons or a tacking aim at paper targets with menacing people outlines on them, who has a steady hand like Phil the Power Taylor and who has the eyes of Mr Magoo?

The shooting alleys in the old Eastern European cities, such as Prague, Riga or Bratislava are amazing, real guns, loud and powerful will put the hairs on the back of your kneck on their ends, and the smell of spent gun oil is unforgettable.



If you fancy a country pursuit, Clay Pigeon Shooting is an awesome choice, shout Pull and a Clay is thrown into the air by a machine called a trap. You then have the time and both barrels to smash your target into a million pieces before it goes out of sight. 

You also have stag shooting, activities without the explosion, just because there isn’t a loud bang it doesn’t mean it’s a pussy activity!

Crossbows are extremely powerful weapons with a trigger. Using small arrows with a shot speed of around 250 feet per second they don’t hang around.

The targets are like the centre of the DesignaVenture logo and if you hit bully you will gain the respect from your stag party, no one is going to mess with the silent assassin.

Archery is a similar sport and was a great activity to watch at last year’s London Olympics.  With a similar target to aim for as the crossbows, hit the Bulls eye for maximum points.

Other popular shooting stag do ideas are laser sports, these include laser games (like paintball but indoor) and laser clay pigeon shooting.

Again these sports are extremely competitive and are fun fillers, I wouldn’t just book one of these activities by themselves personally, but that’s just me.

Stag Do movies are really on the up, over the years this fantastic life experience (your stag do / bachelor party) has also become a must see movie. So here at the DesignaVenture Towers we have been listening to our stag parties and recently we have been asked for the rules to the stag do game Pub Golf . So like the pleasing company we are, here are the rules to this brilliant game that doesn't come with frustration and certainly doesn't ruin a good pub crawl. Pub Golf Rules Rule #1 - Dress Code Everyone MUST dress up like a pro golfer.
