Top 10 Stag Destinations For 2015

2015 is here people, get use to it, after-all, there's no going back, unless you're Marty Mcfly that is!

So let's cut to the chase, here are (in my mind) the top 10 stag destinations for 2015.

I am going in reverse order, just to build the tension, as I am guessing you are so very excited.

10. Dublin

Pros: An incredible place to have your stag do, friendly, buzzing with an atmosphere so good, you could brush your teeth with it.

Cons: On a Saturday night the Temple Bar area can be rammed.

09. Manchester

Pros: Rejuvenated into an amazing European city, old buildings meet new and there are so many bars you could visit one for each day of the year.

Cons: Getting hotel accommodation in the centre in the football season is a nightmare, Man Utd or Man City play at home on alternative weekends.

08. Riga

Pros: Cheap oh so cheap, fantastic lap dancing clubs, ideal for stag parties, funny that! Full on stag activities and the female guides are brilliant fun.

Cons: The food.

07. Amsterdam

Pros: Amsterdam has been welcoming stag parties from all over Europe since, well since forever. The laid back civilisation suits celebratory weekends such as your stag do.

Cons: Weekends are extremely busy and activities are very expensive.

06. Ascot / Reading

Pros: This is the year of the horse racing event, if you have never been to one then you must book. In my mind Ascot is the daddy, every event is special with the ultimate Royal Ascot being the most prestigious event in the world's racing calendar. Then, let DesignaVenture take you back to Reading for a night out you'll never forget.

Cons: No trainers, which I suppose I must grow up one day.

05. Bristol

Pros: A fantastic city, which has everything you need and more, some people have described it as "like London but on a smaller scale, and friendlier, that's if you can understand the accent." Bristol has one of the best stag activity sites in the UK.

Cons: The majority of the city centre hotels in Bristol are now wanting a minimum stay of 2 nights over a weekend.

04. Cardiff

Pros: The atmosphere in Cardiff is so electric you can charge your phone on it. The locals are extremely welcoming and there are some pretty decent stag do activities in South Wales.

Cons: Again, a lot of the hotels may want a minimum of 2 nights over the weekend, and when there's an event at the Millennium stadium, forget about it.

03. Germany

Pros: I have chosen Germany as a collective as I cannot decide on Munich, Hamburg or Berlin. All three cities are very different except for one thing; their city folk like to drink beer and so do stag parties - a match made in heaven.

Cons: Not a huge amount of stag activities on offer.

02. Bournemouth

Pros: Bournemouth is (in my mind, again) the best UK stag destination, fantastic beaches, full on nightlife and so many stag activities you'll need a week rather than a weekend.

Cons: Going to Bournemouth for just the one night in the summer can be a real struggle, hotels want 2 nights Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday.

01. Ibiza

Pros. Just recently Ibiza has celebrated a renaissance of cool, however to be honest Ibiza never stepped out of the cool box in my mind. Amazing clubs, beautiful beaches and San Antonio is so lively you'll need a week in the Lake district to come down.

Cons. Everything is SO frigging expensive.

Other destinations that I love which should have featured if I just focused on the UK is Birmingham, North Wales and Newquay, maybe next time.

Good luck with your arrangements and of you would like to see some stag packages in these or any other destinations go to our stag do section of the DesignaVenture website.

Good luck!
