The January stag do, Christmas is over and it's going to be a struggle to ask the boys to pay out for a pricey stag do, after all January is known as the skint month, the month when you can barely pay attention, let alone pay for a stag do.

 January is a fantastic time to go on a UK stag do, think about it, hotels will be screaming out for your business so will offer cheaper deals (see below for our discounted January packages). Activity sites will also be fairly quiet so availability will be good - just remember it gets dark early in January so activities will have to start earlier in the day compared to the summer months.

Outdoor Activities Ideas

Quad Biking are brilliant fun in the mud / snow, and better than in the dry dusty summer. Thrashing though swollen streams, sliding round muddy corners and screaming up mountains - outdoor motorised activities don't get any better than this.

White Water Rafting, Coasteering or Canyoning is a real test of how much you like the stag - as it's going to be freezing, however it will also be incredible!

Playing Paintball in January will mean you are less likely to overheat inside your mask and suit. Woodlands will be bare so finding and annihilating your opponent will be so much easier!

Clay Pigeon Shooting to me is always a winter sport, with flasks of Irish coffees, bacon rolls, the smell of hot gun oil and the sound of clays being smashed into a billion pieces - an experience like no other.

Rage Buggies are pretty awesome in the winter providing you are racing them on a hard core track, in my mind North Wales, Bournemouth and Birmingham are possibly the best tracks to book for January.

If you prefer to keep it indoor, then head to the multitude of Indoor Karting sites available throughout the UK.

 Going Abroad...

Now, this is a tricky one - The Med in January is likely to be wet or overcast so looking for sunshine may be a 5 hour or longer flight south to the Canaries and onwards - which is going to be costly.

If you're looking to keep the price down, look at places closer to home such as Riga, Amsterdam, Prague or Bratislava.

My stag do destination choice is Riga - in January the prices are incredibly low and you'll still have an incredible stag do, with buzzing nightlife and fantastic activities to boot.

So here at the DesignaVenture Towers we have been listening to our stag parties and recently we have been asked for the rules to the stag do game Pub Golf . So like the pleasing company we are, here are the rules to this brilliant game that doesn't come with frustration and certainly doesn't ruin a good pub crawl.
