Stag Do Ideas For The Over 40s

2 bright 40 somethings on a stag do

When you're in your 40s you still think you're in your early twenties but your tastes have changed and what you want to get up to on your stag weekend will also have changed.

With more collateral in your pocket and possibly no longer wanting to share a bedroom with eight sweaty men, your expectations may have gone a little more upmarket.

We have found that the more mature stag do involves a couple activities in the day, well lets face it all-day drinking is a young man's game unless.....

Large crowd at the Munich beer festival
You decide that the Munich Beer Festival is something you've always wanted to experience.

Also known as Oktoberfest, this incredible beer festival usually runs from the last 2 weeks of September to the first week or so in October and has been running since 1810!

Approximately 7.7 million litres of beer is served every year with market stalls, restaurants, parades and everything else you can imagine creating an incredible atmosphere.

Every stag weekend must be full of beer and dangerous activities are a young stag's activity, right?

Over 40s stag party White water rafting
Wrong, Stag Dos full of Adventure Is Where It's At, we find that the more mature stag do wants activities that blow away the cobwebs and scare the living daylights out of you.

Race super fast Rage Buggies at break neck speed, ride angry rivers whilst white water rafting, shoot assault rifles or be the fastest flying stag (non powered) whilst zip wiring in Snowdonia.

Just so you know... DesignaVenture specialises in bullet proof stag packages around the world since 2003.

Whatever tickles your pickle, full-on adrenaline inducing activities are a must on a stag weekend for the over 40s, right?

Beer on a tray ready for tasting
Not necessarily, with a huge amount of start up distilleries and breweries opening up in the UK lots of stag groups are choosing to book gin, whisky, cider or beer tasting.

What could possibly go wrong? To be fair, not a lot, most establishments offer the full experience including food and an expert to walk you through the tasting process. It's a great stag event where you can chill, have a few drinks and we are pretty sure there will be loads of banter.

Where do you stay, do you opt for a big house, a tent or a hotel?

It really depends on budget however we find at DesignaVenture that most stag do groups who are in their forties tend to go for comfort.

Choosing city centre 3, 4 & 5 star hotels where they can relax, have a drink in the bar and have a decent breakfast each morning. So if you are booking for a group in their forties remember they have probably been living in their own home, doing their own chores for years now and will want that little bit of luxury and maid service.

Here is a list of stag do accommodation worldwide.

Whatever you choose to book or do....

Have a good one!
