Stag Do Destination Ideas - Cardiff

Cardiff is and will always be, a popular stag do destination, it's incredibly friendly for a capital city, it has bags of stag activities, day and night, and you will not find a better night out.

Quick Geography Lesson


Cardiff is just off the M4 about 150 miles west of London (only 3 hours along the M4), 40 miles east of Swansea and about 40 miles south of the Brecon Beacons.

It's situated on the coast (Bristol Channel), which then goes onto the Atlantic Ocean.

Cardiff has a huge train station right in the middle of the city and the airport is only 11 miles away.

Stag Do Ideas Cardiff



Right where do you start! Outside of Cardiff you have some pretty cool activities which include; Canyoning in the Brecon Beacons, Outdoor Karting in Newport (just down the road), Quad biking, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Assault Course, Paintball, Caving to name just a few.

In Cardiff Bay (20 minute walk / 7 minute Taxi from the the centre) you have an Olympic standard white water rafting course, man made obviously, which is huge popular with stag parties, alternatively if your group prefers racing karts there's an epic indoor karting track in the centre of town.

In central Cardiff you popular stag group activities such as Bubble Football, Footgolf or Shock Football.

However, as you're on the coast how about a bit of Deep Sea fishing in the Bristol Channel, DesignaVenture have sent loads of stag parties out into the channel and it's not usually an stag activity you would associate with Cardiff (the alternative stag do activity).

The Bristol Channel is actually quite a rich feeding ground for loads of type if fish. You'll have an experienced skipper on-hand, tackle, bait and rods included and you can even bring along a couple of beers, how great does that sound!

Cardiff is also approximately 45 minutes drive from Bristol's most popular activity sites, where you can race Rage Buggies and Quad Bikes, Shoot .22 assault rifles, Shotguns, Crossbows and Archery into exploding targets. There are loads of activities on this impressive activity site and the prices are also pretty damn good, take a look for yourself.

Nightlife


The nightlife is possibly one the of the main reasons why gents book their stag dos in Cardiff. At night this capital city really comes alive BIG TIME! Oh boy do the Welsh know how to party!

Home to banging nightclubs from Pryzm to Tiger Tiger, Revolutions, the Live Lounge (huge venue), Glam, Be AT One, Soda to countless gentleman's clubs and brilliant comedy clubs.

Eating is definitely not cheating, as Cardiff caters for all sorts of cuisines and if you just want to keep the food on the low down, you obviously have plenty of burger joints, takeaways and chip shops.

Cardiff Bay



The great thing about having a stag weekend in Cardiff is you can have one night out in the centre of town the other at Cardiff Bay (which is about 20 minutes walk from the centre).

Cardiff bay has loads of bars, restaurants and pubs and I think would make a great Friday night out. In the summer you'll find plenty of outside tables and chairs ideal for a few beers and food. Soak it all up before the sun goes down and get ready for the big night out.

In my mind Cardiff is definitely one of the best stag do destinations in the UK, EASILY.

So here at the DesignaVenture Towers we have been listening to our stag parties and recently we have been asked for the rules to the stag do game Pub Golf . So like the pleasing company we are, here are the rules to this brilliant game that doesn't come with frustration and certainly doesn't ruin a good pub crawl.
