Stag Destination Ideas In The UK For 2019



The UK has some of the best nightlife and activities known to man, making it the top stag do destination for grooms to be.

Don't get me wrong stag dos in European and further a field destinations are pretty awesome and unforgettable however you're not settling for second best by choosing the UK, on the contrary England, Wales and Scotland are pretty epic destinations for a stag weekend.

So let's get started at the top of this beautiful island we call home and make are way down:

Scotland

Breathtaking scenery, incredible activities and unbelievable nightlife, no one parties like the Scots, no one!

Edinburgh



You'll need a base when on your stag do in Scotland and Edinburgh I think is your best choice, Edinburgh actually made it into our recent post Dream Stag Weekends In The UK (if money was no object).

You can stay in lavish hotels and drink the finest Whiskies or you can stay in budget accommodation and party life it's twenty ninety nine around the Grassmarkets, Royal Mile and the West End.

The great thing about Edinburgh is the centre is not massive, so getting around is fairly easy and straightforward.

On the outskirts of Edinburgh and in the highlands which is only an hour and a bit away, you have some brilliant stag do activities, such as one of the best White Water Rafting sites in the UK, Highland Games, Canyoning, Cliff Jumping, Rage Buggy Racing, Quad Biking, Paintball and so on. 

If you prefer to stay in the Scottish capital there are plenty of other activity ideas including Escape Rooms, Bubble Football, Whisky Tasting, Cocktail making, Turbo Cricket etc. On our website we have loads of stag activity ideas in Edinburgh.

England

There are many stag do destinations in England which are extremely popular from seaside resorts to big city breaks with epic nightlife and full on stag activities.

My City Break Choice

One of the best stag do destinations in England according to our stag parties is Bristol. Bristol offers incredible daytime activities and has some of the best and friendliest nightlife in England.



Bristol has everything and is small enough to walk so you don't have the hassle of cabs or public transport. Walk from the Hampton By Hilton hotel to the harbourside will take about 10 minutes max unless you decide to visit a couple of the ample pubs on the way!

Drive just 20 minutes out of the city centre and you will find one of the best drive/shooting activity sites in the country offering Quad Biking, .22 Assault Rifle Shooting (Zombies), Powerful Dirt Buggy Racing, Axe Throwing, Paintball, Clay Pigeon Shooting and much more on just one incredible site.

Bristol also offers West Country Games, Indoor Karting, Escape Rooms, Bubble Football, Footgolf to name just a few, again we have loads of Bristol stag do ideas on our website.

At night expect a lively atmosphere, with so many pubs and bars to visit you'll be glad you booked a weekend! There is also on offer comedy and lap dancing clubs, brilliant nightclubs with booths and drink packages plus enough restaurants to satisfy even the hungriest of stag dos.

There are two main parts to Bristol at night:

Harbourside is great for drinking and eating outside and is where Pryzm is situated

Old Town Bristol which is basically between the Harbourise and Cabot Circus where you'll find themed bars, independent restaurants and fast food joints, old school pubs and lap dancing clubs, it's also where SWX is situated, a nightclub dedicated to playing mainly dance music.

My Seaside Choice

This is a difficult choice between Bournemouth and Newquay however for 2019 I'm going to choose Bournemouth.



Bournemouth is an amazing stag do destination with so many stag activity ideas day and night, Bournemouth basically has everything you'll ever want.

Our Bournemouth stag do ideas include a multitude of activities... from Multi-Motorised Activity Days, Powerboating, Deep Sea Fishing and School Sports Days. There are also the usual activities including bubble football, footgolf, paintball, quad biking etc.

Bournemouth at night is lively, very lively.  Explore the humongous amount of bars, pubs, restaurants and clubs, better still get the Bar Babes to take you on a decent bar crawl, alternatively DesignaVenture can get your names down on the door on quite a few bars and clubs so you don't have the hassle of not getting in anywhere.

Wales

Even though Cardiff is an amazing stag do destination with plenty going on, I have decided to choose North Wales for my 2019 destination as it has so many adventurous stag do ideas.



Choose between the fastest Zip Line in the WORLD, yes I said the WORLD or the man made  Surfing Lake in Snowdonia, man made = guaranteed surf, dude!

Alternatively tackle the white water rafting in Llangollen or view 7 Counties on a super quad trek on the North Wales / Shropshire borders.

If you're looking for epic adventure you've got canyoning, river bugging (on white water) or racing Rage Buggies.

Staying in North Wales can be fairly cheap, from budget clean and tidy hostels to 3 and 4 star hotels all offering great value for money plus you get a hearty Welsh breakfast.

So if your stuck on where to go in 2019 in the UK for your stag do, any of the above destinations come highly recommended.

So here at the DesignaVenture Towers we have been listening to our stag parties and recently we have been asked for the rules to the stag do game Pub Golf . So like the pleasing company we are, here are the rules to this brilliant game that doesn't come with frustration and certainly doesn't ruin a good pub crawl.
